Trade-In Books – Store Policies

You might have a few books lying around (don’t worry, we all do)! We can help with that. Here are our trade-in policies and process.

• Bring us one normal-size shopping bag (no larger than a paper bag from a grocery store) or a small box (no larger than a banker box, or 17″x12″x12″) with your books. Please make sure they are clean, unstained, have no water damage, and do not smell musty, smoky, or have a strong smell. Only during normal operating hours; please do not bring them during special events (ie. Last Friday Art Walk, etc.) or in-store events like Grandpa’s Story Time or other regular events we may add.
• We will take up to 10 days to go through your books and determine what we are able to accept.
• We will offer up to 40% of the used retail price.
• All trade-ins will be for in-store credit; no cash trade-ins. In-store credit spends like cash here in our store, can be applied to any book or record in the store, and your credit does not expire.
• Options if we do not accept all of your books. We will ask your preference when you drop off your books.
  • We will return the books to you. You can come and pick them up during our regular hours. If not picked up within a week of us emailing you, all books will be donated to a local charity.
  • We will donate the books for you to a local charity
• We will accept books from any genre, but are looking more for the following areas:
  • Fantasy
  • Romance
  • Romantacy
  • Mystery/Thriller
  • YA Books
  • Mid-Grade
  • Graphic Novels
  • Children’s Books

Donating Used Books

If you would like to donate books to us, we are always open to that. Please make sure they are clean, unstained, have no water damage, and do not smell musty, smoky, or have a strong smell. If you have more than three or more boxes, please call us to set up a time to bring the books in so we can be ready. Any smaller amounts can be brought in during our normal operating hours.
